Weiste – like a fairy tale, but true!

The story begins at Christmas 1924, and it has all the ingredients of a fairy tale - the spirit of Christmas, bringing joy to people, an enterprising father and a chain of generations. Kalle Weiste ran a paper shop in Helsinki in the 1920s. Once he bought Christmas tree top stars for sale. Decorations were scarce then, but people wanted to decorate their homes for Christmas. On Christmas Eve, all but one star had been sold. Kalle got the idea and started making ornaments in Finland. Since then, Weiste has brought joy to people who enjoy beautifying their homes.
