Sowing

Due to the taproot of the garden hornwort, we recommend direct sowing in early spring. Sow the seeds as direct sowing in the spring when the frosts are over or in late autumn when they bloom early in the summer.

Sow 1 cm deep, as darkness helps germination. Keep the seed evenly moist. At first, protect the direct-sown seeds and small seedlings with cheesecloth and take care of watering. The gauze reduces the evaporation of moisture and heat and reduces the destruction of small animals.
